About the Event
Come together to cultivate inner peace, presence, and mindfulness through the practice of meditation. In this group, participants may engage in various types of meditation, such as breath awareness, guided visualisation, or mantra meditation, with the aim of quieting the mind, reducing stress, and increasing self-awareness. The group will be led by Spiritual Director Rachel Aldred who offers guidance, support, and insights into the practice. Through regular meditation, individuals may experience a greater sense of calm, clarity, and connectedness to themselves, others, and the universe.
What is meditation
Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine.
Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress
Definition: to engage in mental exercise (such as concentration on one's breathing or repetition of a mantra) for the purpose of reaching a heightened level of spiritual awareness.
